Would just like to say a big well done to the lads for a most fantastic show at the Office.

I thought the band sounded tighter and better than ever before. I also thought they looked very relaxed and as though they were having a thoroughly good time (not sure if this was due to one Christmas beer too many).

Many congrats to the new singer Colin, I thought he did a fantastic job and although he fluffed lines in one or two songs, and forgot which song they were doing next at one stage, he handled it in a good light hearted humorous way. I think there was a bit of a worry when Tom left, but I think Colin is a brilliant replacement.

Lyndsay and John were on top form as usual and I couldn’t fault them one bit.

Big change since I saw them last Christmas, Mick has reverted back to having a “proper drum kit” no offence Michael but you look much happier knocking seven bells out of a big kit than the electronic one you had last time. Again the drumming was superb and I couldn’t fault it one bit. You get more like Mr Peart every time I hear you.

There was a fantastic turn out at the office, despite the weather being shi** and the local paper omitting the gig from their gig guide (shoot the editor). Everyone was having an excellent time. Lots of head banging and air drumming and air guitars a plenty.

Excellent set list just thought the night went too quick despite them playing for 2 hours plus. Think you should do 4 hours next time Looking forward to seeing you again next Christmas, wish I could see you more often but since moving away from Geordieland I can’t see you as much as I would like.

Well what can I say about the Office gig - FN brill man. The best gig yet. As you know many of us RUSH fans are still smouldering in the embers of the most recent RUSH concerts, which takes a bloody lot of beating I can tell you. And to say the music was good at that gig in Glasgow-Land would be an understatement of monumental proportions. But I have to say the Office gig was better; there is something about being surrounded by friends and family (and drink) that always improves the environment.

To witness a number of individuals who can play RUSH music that is just about note perfect and with this talent gel as a group to provide a simulated version of the real thing, well I have to say takes dedication and genius. Following that bit of ego stroking you may also ask what music do I have on my mp3 player? Well I can tell you - as a person of ecletic taste, I have a bit Sting, Carreras/Domingo, Santana, Val Doonican (sorry!), Beethoven and Anthem (from the website). Yes no RUSH and to all RUSH fans I humbly apologise. But did you note the last group name on my list - Anthem! Great night - Great Gig - See ye all at Gateshead I'll be the one noddin me heed and singin along. Keep up the stonkin work No1 Anthem Fan (although I believe there is now competition)

Tony

PS - What happened to the Guestbook I can't seem to access? And get rid of the backdrop (hammered steel texture) on the site it is ruining me eyes more than the usual material I read.

Sorry about the guestbook Tony I'll get it sorted as soon as I can, and the hammered steel backgroud has now gone, thanks to your feedback.
