Mike Cassidy kindly sent this review of the 3 Tuns Gig on the 20th August

Hi guys

Just a quick note to thank you for tonight's gig..you were excellent and by far the best tribute band I have seen..and with 2112 and Spirit of Rush doing the rounds, that is no mean complement! I can't help feeling, however, that I have not caught you at your best. I rarely leave a gig, tribute or otherwise, without feeling that I have witnessed an excellent performance, but feeling a sense of restraint within the band. I don't know if the PA was yours, or was not to your liking, but I got the impression you had more to throw that didn't come across. I would reiterate here and now..you are the best Rush tribute band I have seen but I felt that there's more to you than what I saw tonight..

Individually....

Tom..you have an amazing voice..as close to Geddy's as I have heard..you seem comfortable within your vocal range and I would love to hear you open up and make your own mark on the songs..you were superb and I'd like to hear more of you just letting go and playing with the form.. I doubt that many vocalists tributing Geddy would have the ability to do that but I think that you could.

Mick..Your drumming and percussion work was excellent..you should make more use of your time in YYZ and let your ideas come through..lets see some more of your flair!!!..great time for the other lads to go for a piss/drink!

Lindsay.....AAGH....you frustrated me so much this evening!!..you are such an annoyingly bloody talented guitarist!!! and I was waiting with anticipation to watch you open up..particularly in Strangiato"..you seemed to be serving the original to the point where it was stifling you..its my favourite Lifeson solo ever, and although you did it fair justice I have seen and heard other guitarists make their mark on it..you should do likewise..you're certainly good enough!

John...The bass work was excellent..my only niggling criticism was that we felt that the keyboard sound could be beefed up a little..again it may have been the p.a. but the later stuff (or now middle stuff!) like "Marathon" needs underpinning with a stronger synth backing.

Easy for me, guys, to sit with a drink and e-mail with criticism, but I'm doing so in the spirit that you are the best Rush tribute that I've seen, you were all fantastic, and I'm commenting from the point of view that you obviously love and care about the material at least as much as those who listen to it. I would travel to see you in optimum conditions and look forward to seeing you again..I brought 4 others tonight..next time there will be more!

Thanks again for a brilliant night , and best wishes to you all!
